Shannon Mason (USA) was  candidate for the position of Vice-President, but she didn't win the elections. Here's her text about herself and her plans:

Dear IPSO Members,

I would like to run for the Vice-Presidency of the IPSO. My goals are very similar to Edward Van Rossen's and I plan to support his presidential aspirations.

As I run for the position of Vice-President of the IPSO my hope is to foster an organization that encourages the growth of multiculturalism and multicultural education. I hope to enhance communication between professional and aspiring psychologists, to make IPSO members more aware of the psychologies of varying countries and cultures. To help members to form friendly and beneficial relationships with one another that offer constructive criticisms, encouragement, and insight. To encourage world travel and experience through organizational meetings and conferences as well as other international opportunities, such as study, work, or volunteer abroad programs. I will uphold the mission of the IPSO and its members and will myself be open to suggestions and criticisms. Ultimately I will promote an organization that acknowledges the need for intercultural communications and interactions in a world that is growing ever smaller.

In addition to the goals that Edward has mentioned my aims for the IPSO concerning the three following years include;
- A possible collaboration with the Cross-Cultural Solutions program that would allow IPSO members to participate in intercultural volunteerism at a reduced rate (for more information on this organization please visit www.crossculturalsolutions.com).
- Collaborations with textbook companies that may allow IPSO members to purchase their psychology text books at reduced prices.
- More formalized recognition through governments and Universities.
- An IPSO Members Data Base, which would include members’ personal bios, interests, outlooks, future plans, and ideas to be seen by other members.
- Invitations and possible price reductions to international psychology conferences.
- IPSO chat rooms.
- Once a month I would like to have a letter posted by a "Professional Member." My hope is to open the lines of communication between prominent psychologists and IPSO members so that views and advise may be exchanged.
- A posting that spotlights the indigenous psychology of a different country each month, to be written by IPSO members from the country that is being spotlighted.
- Interaction with and possible internships at the The Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication.
