Rob Bowers (Turkey) was candidate for the position of President, but he wasn't elected. Here's his text about himself and his plans: |

My intention in running for president of IPSO is to replace the executive committee, including the presidency, with a connectionist government. This is an experimental application of connectionist theory, in which each member represents a node in the net. Together the members can influence the group via the software net that connects us. In such a system there is no need for elected representatives. Though a representative government in IPSO is safe, the relatively simple case of IPSO presents an opportunity to develop alternative forms of government for future applications in which representative government is not safe. You will recognise my proposal as explicitly anarchistic. Rob (E-mail: robbowers@hotmail.com ) |
