*: Eligible for election as Student Member is any applicant, provided that he/she studies psychology at a university and/or an institution of higher education that has an equivalent qualification that is recognized by the Assembly. Members are elected by the Assembly, unless the Assembly delegates the election to the Executive Committee. The election takes place in accordance the procedure described in the Domestic Rules. Membership terminates (1) when a member no longer meets the requirements for membership; (2) upon written request of the member; (3) upon decease of the member; (4) by expulsion.
**: Eligible for election as Constituent is any organization, or division or section of such an organization, or a similar organization, that satisfies the following criteria: (1) its aim is to promote psychology; (2) its members are students in psychology at a university and/or an institution of higher education that has an equivalent qualification that is recognized by the Assembly; (3) it is willing to supply certain services to IPSO-Members. Constituents are elected by the Assembly according to the Procedure described in the Domestic Rules. Each Constituent has the right to appoint a single Representative for a period of not more than four years. A Representative cannot be member of the Executive Committee. Constituency membership terminates (1) upon written request from the Constituent; (2) upon non-payment of the subscription during two consecutive years; (3) by expulsion.
***: Eligible for election as Professional Member is any individual who is professionally and/or scientifically active in a field that is recognized as relevant for psychology. Professional Members have the right: (1) to obtain selected services from the Organization; (2) to send e-mails to all Student Members and Representatives of Constituents. Members are elected by the Assembly, unless the Assembly delegates the election to the Executive Committee. The election takes place in accordance the procedure described in the Domestic Rules. Membership terminates (1) when a member no longer meets the requirements for membership; (2) upon written request of the member; (3) upon decease of the member; (4) by expulsion.
